Fourth of July and Paper Quilting {Part 2}

This is the second step of the Make a Flag Quilt Block activity. See yesterday's post for the first steps.

Use acrylic or tempera paint to embellish the flags. Dots are made with painted bubble wrap. Lines are made with painted corrugated paper. {Thanks for the tip, Jane!}

Now it's time to display them in your classroom!

*It's fun to have the students help with the placement of the blocks.

Use this activity for Fourth of July, Veteran's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, or Flag Day. I would love to see any flag quilt blocks you make. Have fun with the red, white, and blue.

  8. These are so cute! I'm going to have to remember this. I always start the school year with a back to school and patriotic theme. This would be a great activity to do.
