Welcome to First Grade Schoolhouse

My first blog post . . . initially (like I'm sure so many of you) I just started visiting other teachers' blogs and realized that there's an entire world of inspiration and creative ideas in this blogging world.

I love the whole process of creating, teaching, reflecting, revising, and sharing stories about teaching . . .
successes,
not-so successes,
and the ins and outs of teaching.
Basically, I love "talking shop".

So, I decided to try it. And before I knew it . . . Here I am!

Thank you to Kristen at KPM Doodles for designing the graphics for my blog. I'm a HUGE fan of hers! In fact, she just designed some "Seussy" graphics. So FUN! I immediately used them on a set of March Reading Logs. You can download the set for free here.

Follow me on this journey. Get a glimpse of my teaching life, have some laughs, and get inspired, too!

  1. Hi!
I saw your comment on TPT and decided to check your blog out. I'm new to blogging and TPT also, but WOW...I must say, I am so impressed with your blog! I need some pointers from you. My e-mail is cvautrot@gilmerschools.com if you have the time to answer a couple of questions.

I am your newest follower! I hope you will follow my blog also...

  2. Hi, Mona! Just checked out your blog. Thanks for becoming a follower of ours. We are just getting up and going with this blogging stuff and selling on TPT and it is so addicting...but we love sharing with other people and finding new ideas to use with our first graders.

And by the way...I LOVE your graphics! I fell in love with KPM Doodles when we found her stuff on Etsy.

Best of luck to you in the blogging world. How long have you been selling on TPT?

    1. Carrie,
Thanks for following me. I agree it's addicting. I started the blog and TPT at the same time about a month ago. It sounds like you started both at the same time, too. It's great finding another KPM Doodles fan. Kirsten is so talented! Good luck!
      Mona
